more details

Length 4.3m (14ft), beam 2.1m (width), displacement (empty) 75kg, sail area 11.5 sq m, crew 1 or 2 people.

The two hulls are connected by timber box section crossbeams that fit into beam boxes, and the two halves of the trampoline (the mesh between the hulls) are lashed to keep the whole assembly together. The V hull design eliminates the need for daggerboards, making it easy to build and to sail off the beach or lakeside. Each hull weighs about 20kgs, so it can be roof-racked single handed.

The hulls are made of the 4mm ply, with internal bulkheads and a deck of the same material. The stitch and glue method involves drilling the components and 'stitching' them together with cable ties until an epoxy fillet constructed between the pieces has firmly stuck them together. Coating all the ply and timber surfaces with an epoxy coating guarantees durability and ease of maintenance.
