Sat, 01-Mar-03 Two layers of fibreglass tape to keel and transom joins for strength. Thought I would have a problem with this, as the first attempt on the transom got rather messy and was discarded. Had a cup of tea and tried again, with more success. Easy once you get the hang of it. Two more coats of epoxy over tape, one with added lightweight filler

Sun, 09-Mar-03 Make support jigs, move the hull round the corner to my friend Lyndons studio (which luckily was more or less empty). Both hulls must be completed before the crossbeams fittings can be completed and the beambox covers made. More coats of epoxy and finishing then

Mon, 10-Mar-03 Cut and glue rudder blanks. Each is four layers of 4mm ply; in the photo the crossbeams are laid across the deckjig, on top of this is a piece of mdf, the two rudders are separated by a piece of plastic sheet, and finally bricks from a storage heater (there are more of them flat behind the front ones)

Tue, 11-Mar-03 Cut out rudderstock ply, start sizing rudders

Wed, 12-Mar-03 Marking out and cutting rudders

Thu, 13-Mar-03 Started on hull number two

Sat, 15-Mar-03 Cable tie hullskins, preparing bulkheads
