Fri, 16-May-03 Laminate beam box cover ply pieces (two layers - glue them together in situ, without gluing them to the hull)

Sat, 17-May-03 Cut laminated beam box covers to the correct size

Sun, 18-May-03 Coats of epoxy to inner surfaces of beam box covers, crossbeam retaining blocks. Epoxy / graphite mix to inside of beam boxes

Tue, 20-May-03 Glue and screw beam box covers to hulls, fill screw holes. Epoxy and filler to inner surfaces of rudder cheeks (to fill grain). Experiment with using filler mix squeegeed (?) on to a bit of hull

Wed, 21-May-03 Plane and sand filled screw holes, and other filled areas. Deep joy! The filler mix on the hullskin sands to to a beautifully smooth surface, boding well for the final finish - easy and fast to do, and economical on epoxy as well

Sun, 25-May-03 Plane and sand filled screw holes. Tedious job, on reflection pinning the middle and aft decks would have been better. The foredeck has such a curve on it that pulling down with screws was vital. Some holes need more filler

Mon, 26-May-03 Sanding gunwhales (and gardening :-)

Tue, 27-May-03 Sanding gunwhales, shaping top of stems, sanding transoms

Thu, 29-May-03 Fill screw holes that weren't quite filled the first time...

Fri, 30-May-03 Sand newly filled screw holes

Sat, 31-May-03 Coat of epoxy to sanded areas
